I completed my bachelor degree in biology at Middle East Technical University (METU) in Turkey. During my bachelor degree, I basically focused on molecular biology based on resistant cancer cells. After my graduation, I decided to apply my knowledge on an interdisciplinary research area. Therefore, I started MSc. Program in Biomedical Engineering at METU. My master thesis was based on the development of polymer based nanocarriers for the treatment of resistant cancer cells. During my master studies I gained more interest on polymers. For this reason, I continue my PhD studies in Peneva Group at Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena. My research interest is the development of guanidinium containing polymers for gene delivery. In my spare time, I like playing tennis and drawing.
