New joint collaborative research center - Transregio 234 "CataLight"
The German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG) announced on the 18.05.2018 that it will fund the Joint Collaborative Research Center / Transregio (CRC / TRR) 234 "CataLight" over the next four years. The partners, including the University of Vienna, the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz and the Leibniz Institute for Photonic Technologies e. V. in Jena, approx. ten million euros. The cross-regional research network intends to use the resources to investigate the basic functionality of innovative photocatalytically active materials.
Our research group will contribute in Project A3 that will focus on the synthesis of rylene photosensitizers for photocatalytic water splitting.
